Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or nonstick aluminum foil.
Melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and let it cool slightly.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
Gradually mix in the melted butter until well combined.
Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Once cool, decorate with melted chocolate, candy eyes, or Halloween sprinkles as desired.
