Instructions
Pour warm melted butter into a mixing bowl and let it cool slightly.
Add dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and sea salt. Mix on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Incorporate vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
Sift together all-purpose flour, black cocoa powder, Dutch cocoa, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
Gently fold in dark chocolate chips by hand.
Allow the dough to rest for 20-30 minutes.
Scoop small portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Before chilling, decorate the tops of the cookie dough balls with M&Ms.
Cover and chill the dough overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake cookies for 12-15 minutes.
Once baked, immediately place monster eye candies on top while warm.
Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
