Ingredients
  

  • 226 g unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 150 g dark brown sugar
  • 150 g granulated white sugar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 280 g all-purpose flour
  • 50 g black cocoa powder
  • 20 g Dutch cocoa
  • 200 g dark chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Pour warm melted butter into a mixing bowl and let it cool slightly.
  • Add dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and sea salt. Mix on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  • Incorporate vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  • Sift together all-purpose flour, black cocoa powder, Dutch cocoa, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Gently fold in dark chocolate chips by hand.
  • Allow the dough to rest for 20-30 minutes.
  • Scoop small portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  • Before chilling, decorate the tops of the cookie dough balls with M&Ms.
  • Cover and chill the dough overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake cookies for 12-15 minutes.
  • Once baked, immediately place monster eye candies on top while warm.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
