Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup white candy melts for mummies and ghosts
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips for spider webs or ghosts
  • 1/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons candy eyes for mummies
  • 5 drops liquid food coloring purple, orange, or black

Instructions
 

  • Pour Rice Krispies cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until melted and smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
  • Pour the marshmallow mixture over the Rice Krispies and mix until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 8x8-inch pan and press down firmly to form an even layer.
  • Allow to cool completely at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Melt white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, according to package instructions.
  • Using a spoon, drizzle the melted candy over the cooled Rice Krispie treats to create ghost or mummy shapes.
  • Decorate with candy eyes and sprinkles before the candy sets.
  • Once set, cut into squares or fun shapes and serve!
