1/2cupunsalted butterfor frosting, room temperature
2oz.cream cheeseroom temperature
1 3/4cupspowdered sugar
1/4tspsalt
1tspvanilla extract
2tspheavy cream
3-4dropsgel food coloring
1/4cupHalloween sprinkle blendfor topping
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 baking pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
Fold in the Halloween sprinkles.
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool in the pan.
For the frosting, beat together the butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, salt, vanilla, and heavy cream, mixing until fluffy.
Add gel food coloring to achieve desired color and mix well.
Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie bars and top with additional Halloween sprinkles.
Cut into squares and serve.
