  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Essential for achieving crispiness.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Toppings

  • to taste cayenne pepper For a spicy kick.
  • to taste nutritional yeast Adds a cheesy flavor.
  • to taste dried herbs Such as thyme or rosemary.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the dried chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Toss until well-coated.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crisping.
  • Check for crispness. If needed, continue cooking for an additional 2-5 minutes.
  • Remove the chickpeas from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly.

Notes
