Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Use full-fat or low-fat based on preference.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Freshly squeezed lime juice is preferred.

Spices and Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce Optional, adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and lime juice. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the yogurt mixture.
  • Whisk everything together until the ingredients are well incorporated and the sauce is smooth.
  • If desired, mix in the chopped cilantro and hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning or spice level as needed.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the sauce to an airtight container.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least thirty minutes to let the flavors meld.

Notes

For best flavor, use high-quality Greek yogurt and consider letting the sauce chill overnight. This sauce can also be frozen, but fresh is preferred.
