Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and ensure ground turkey and ricotta cheese are at room temperature.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey and ricotta cheese.
  • Add breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and egg to the bowl.
  • Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Gently mix everything together until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
  • Roll the mixture into meatballs, each about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle in olive oil.
  • Once the oil is hot, place the meatballs in the skillet and cook for about 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides.
  • Alternatively, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake meatballs on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve over whole grain pasta or zucchini noodles, topped with sauce and a sprinkle of parsley or Parmesan cheese.

Notes
