Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage Opt for high-quality meat for better flavor.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups broken lasagna noodles
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • to taste Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Set your Instant Pot to 'Sauté' mode.
  • Add the ground beef or Italian sausage, diced onion, and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté until the meat is browned.
  • If there's any excess fat, drain it carefully.

Cooking

  • Pour in the can of crushed tomatoes and beef broth.
  • Stir in the broken lasagna noodles, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Close the lid and switch to 'Manual' mode. Set the timer for 5 minutes.
  • Once done, quickly release the pressure.

Finishing Touches

  • Stir in the ricotta cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella.
  • Let the soup sit for a few minutes to thicken.
  • Ladle into bowls and garnish with remaining mozzarella and fresh basil.

Notes
