  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Use overripe bananas for sweetness.
  • 1 cup cocoa powder Chocolate-flavored protein powder can be used.
  • 1 scoop protein powder Customize with your favorite type.
  • 1 cup almond flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup For sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce Adds moisture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the three ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
  • Add the cocoa powder and protein powder to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Incorporate the almond flour, honey or maple syrup, baking powder, vanilla extract, salt, and unsweetened applesauce.
  • Mix everything together until you have a cohesive batter, being careful not to overmix.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
