Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies (approximately 15.35 oz)
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package Chocolate coating or candy melts (around 12 oz)
  • to taste Sprinkles, optional, for decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by placing the Oreo cookies into a large resealable plastic bag or use a food processor. Crush the cookies until they turn into fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese and blend until the mixture is uniform and smooth.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, roughly 1 inch in diameter. Place these on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape when coated in chocolate.

Coating

  • Melt the chocolate coating or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, ensuring it's fully covered. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle the tops with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet for decoration.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden either at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.

Notes

Store leftover Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. They can also be frozen; just ensure to separate layers with parchment paper.
