Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
Mix in the softened butter and sugar until well combined.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Start checking at 55 minutes.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
