  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can use low-sodium variety for a healthier option
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the chicken
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper generously.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken breasts.
  • Pour the honey garlic mixture over the chicken as it begins to cook.
  • Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until the glaze thickens and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Serving

  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the chicken on a bed of rice or alongside steamed vegetables, drizzling remaining glaze over the top.
