For the Filling

  • 1 package instant hot chocolate pudding mix Provides the creamy filling
  • 2 cups milk Required for pudding preparation

  • 1 cup whipped cream Optional for topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the sugar cookie dough package, typically around 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out the sugar cookie dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick. Use a round cookie cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out circles.
  • Press each dough circle into a muffin tin to form cup-like shapes.

Baking

  • Bake the cookie cups in the preheated oven as directed on the sugar cookie package until golden brown.
  • Remove the muffin tin from the oven and let the cookie cups cool completely in the pan.

Filling and Topping

  • Prepare the hot chocolate pudding by combining the pudding mix with the recommended amount of milk in a mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Once cooled, fill each cookie cup generously with the prepared pudding.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate chips over the whipped cream, if desired.
