Hot Honey Pepperoni Ricotta Pizza
A delightful pizza combining spicy honey, zesty pepperoni, and creamy ricotta, creating a unique twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients
For the pizza base
- 1 piece pre-made pizza dough Store-bought for convenience
For the toppings
- 1 cup ricotta cheese For a creamy texture
- 1 cup pizza sauce For the base flavor
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Melted for great texture
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni For a zesty flavor
- ¼ cup hot honey Adjust based on spice preference
- 1 tablespoon olive oil To enrich flavor
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for extra spice
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped For garnish
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor
- to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and heat a pizza stone if available.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a piece of parchment paper or a floured pizza peel.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving half an inch for the crust.
- Spoon ricotta cheese over the sauce, spreading it with a spoon.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the pizza.
- Layer sliced pepperoni on top.
- Drizzle olive oil over the toppings.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes over everything.
Baking
- Transfer the pizza into the preheated oven or onto the hot pizza stone.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes.
- Drizzle hot honey over the pizza before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil and slice before serving.
