  • 3 cups water or stock The base for cooking your pasta.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Helps prevent the pasta from sticking.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated Gives that essential cheesy finish.
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream Adds creaminess and richness to the sauce.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by adding 3 cups of water to your Instant Pot.
  • Stir in the bouillon cube or granules into the water along with garlic powder and onion powder.
  • Pour in 1 tablespoon of olive oil to help prevent sticking.
  • Add your marinara sauce to the pot.
  • Incorporate the penne, spreading it out to ensure even cooking.

Cooking

  • Secure the lid on your Instant Pot and set it to pressure cook for 5 minutes.
  • Quickly release the pressure by turning the valve carefully.

Finishing

  • Open the lid, press cancel, and stir in the grated Parmesan and heavy cream until combined.
  • Serve immediately, optionally garnishing with fresh Parmesan or herbs.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Feel free to add vegetables or different sauces as variations.
