Ingredients
  

  • 1 box cake mix flavor of your choice
  • required oil and eggs based on cake mix instructions
  • 1 container white frosting
  • green gummy candy (e.g., Jolly Rancher Sour Bites Gummies)
  • 24 sticks thin pretzel sticks
  • orange food coloring
  • black decorating icing

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  • Mix the cake mix with the required oil, eggs, and water until smooth.
  • Line your muffin tin with cupcake liners and fill each about two-thirds full with batter.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Add orange food coloring to the white frosting and mix until you achieve your desired shade.
  • Spread a thin layer of orange frosting over the cooled cupcakes.
  • Insert half of a pretzel stick into the top of each cupcake to create the pumpkin stem.
  • Cut the green gummy candy into leaf shapes and place them next to the pretzel stick.
  • Use black decorating icing to draw faces on the cupcakes.
