  • 2 cups water

  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced Any type of mushrooms can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Adjust according to taste.
  • to taste salt and pepper Add gradually to avoid overpowering the soup.
  • 1 green onion, chopped For garnish.

Cooking

  • Pour 2 cups of water into a medium-sized pot and heat over medium-high until it reaches a rolling boil.
  • While waiting for the water to boil, slice the onion and mushrooms thinly.
  • Once boiling, add the sliced onion and mushrooms carefully. Reduce heat to low.
  • Let the soup simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and taste the broth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Remove the pot from heat and ladle the soup into bowls.
  • Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
