Ingredients
  

For the churro bites

  • 1 box angel food cake mix Use store-bought or make from scratch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil for frying Enough to deep-fry the bites

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the angel food cake mix with water. Stir until well blended and no lumps remain.
  • Preheat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat, using enough oil to deep-fry the bites.

Cooking

  • Once the oil is hot, use a spoon to drop small amounts of the cake batter into the oil. Fry a few at a time to avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown, flipping carefully to get an even color.
  • Once cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Coating

  • In a separate bowl, mix the granulated sugar with the ground cinnamon.
  • While the bites are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.

Serving

  • Serve immediately or allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
