  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen, both work perfectly.
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped Adds sweetness and flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced A must for flavor enhancement.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Gives the dish a creamy and cheesy finish.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing and adding healthy fats.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season according to your preference.

Cooking Steps

  • Pour the olive oil into a large skillet and place it over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
  • Toss in the minced garlic and continue to sauté for another minute.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir frequently for 5-7 minutes until fully browned and cooked through.
  • Incorporate the broccoli florets, give it a good stir, cover the skillet, and allow to steam for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
  • Remove the lid and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover again for a few minutes to help the cheese melt thoroughly.
  • Serve warm and garnish with fresh herbs or a dash of paprika if desired.
