Topping

  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (low sugar or sugar free) Adds a creamy texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey (optional) Sweeten to taste.
  • Juice of 1/2 key lime key lime juice (for topping) Intensifies the key lime flavor.
  • Zest of 1 key lime key lime zest (for topping) Adds citrus aroma.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by pressing the graham cracker crumbs and milk into the bottom of a 10 oz mason jar to form a crust.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the milk, vanilla extract, and key lime juice until smooth.
  • Add oats, chia seeds, and protein powder to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Layer this oat mixture over the graham cracker crust.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Prepare the topping by mixing yogurt, honey, and the juice and zest of 1/2 key lime in a bowl.
  • Serve the chilled oats with the yogurt topping and additional lime zest or crushed graham cracker crumbs.
