  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Adjust for spice preference.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Use white or brown rice.
  • 1 bunch green onions, diced For garnish and freshness.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add lean ground beef and minced garlic to the skillet.
  • Break apart the beef with a spatula and cook until evenly browned.
  • Drain most of the fat from the skillet, leaving a little for flavor.
  • Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, ground ginger, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes to meld flavors.
  • Prepare your rice if not yet cooked, ensuring it's ready to serve.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary.

Serving

  • Serve the Korean beef over cooked rice.
  • Garnish with diced green onions.
