garlic

toasted sesame seeds

green onions

sesame oil

soy sauce

brown sugar

fresh ginger
peeled and grated

red pepper flakes
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
Add sliced mushrooms (if using) and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the prepared sauce and mix well. Simmer for 2 minutes until heated through.
Drizzle with sesame oil and remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
Serve over hot rice or noodles.
