Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • ½ tsp. sesame oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh ginger peeled and grated
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Add sliced mushrooms (if using) and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in the prepared sauce and mix well. Simmer for 2 minutes until heated through.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil and remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
  • Serve over hot rice or noodles.

Notes
