  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 unit egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for topping
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme optional
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, egg, and milk.
  • Add the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well until fully combined.
  • Season the mixture with black pepper and garlic powder. If using thyme, add that as well.
  • Optionally, stir in the chopped onion for added flavor and texture.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture into the greased loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
  • Top the meatloaf with additional ketchup if desired for a glazed effect.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Serving

  • Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
