  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can marinara sauce (28 oz)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Garnish

Instructions
 

Browning the Meat

  • Start by heating a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until fully browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Cooking the Vegetables

  • Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for 3–5 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent, stirring occasionally.

Combining Ingredients

  • Stir in marinara sauce, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Increase heat slightly to bring to a gentle simmer.

Simmering the Soup

  • Allow the soup to simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Serving the Soup

  • Ladle the soup into bowls, top with a spoonful of ricotta cheese, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and garnish with fresh basil.
