Ingredients
  

For the brownie batter

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Optional for extra richness

For the topping

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal or any crunchy cereal of choice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • If desired, fold in chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Sprinkle mini marshmallows on top, followed by the crispy cereal.
  • Pour the remaining brownie batter over the marshmallows and cereal, smoothing it out.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.

Cooling

  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing them into squares.

Notes
