Meatball and Mashed Potato Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Meatballs frozen or homemade, cooked
  • 4 cups Mashed Potatoes fresh or leftovers
  • 1 cup Brown Gravy homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese mozzarella or cheddar
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • If using frozen meatballs, cook them according to package directions. For homemade, combine ground meat with breadcrumbs, egg, and seasonings, roll into balls, and brown in a skillet.
  • Prepare mashed potatoes by peeling and boiling potatoes until fork-tender, then mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a saucepan, warm the brown gravy over low heat.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish. Layer cooked meatballs at the bottom, pour gravy over them, and spread mashed potatoes on top. Sprinkle cheese over the potatoes.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
