Ingredients
  

Fruity Base

  • 2 cups mixed dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots) Use high-quality dried fruits for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped (walnuts, almonds, pecans) Chop finely but not to dust for a nice crunch.

Chocolate Mixture

  • 1 cup crushed biscuits or graham crackers Provides the base crunch.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Rich chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweetener.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted Helps bind the mixture.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, sift together mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts. Toss well.
  • In another bowl, combine crushed biscuits with cocoa powder.
  • Add honey or maple syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the dry mixture. Stir until cohesive.
  • Gradually add the fruit and nut mixture to the chocolate blend and stir gently until fully coated.

Assembly

  • Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the dish and flatten evenly.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • Remove the cake from the dish using the parchment paper and slice into squares or bars.
  • Serve on a festive platter, optionally sprinkling with powdered sugar or serving with a drizzle of honey.

Notes
