Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of creamy peanut butter.
  • Sprinkle in 1 cup of oats and mix until well combined.
  • If desired, drizzle in 1/4 cup of honey or maple syrup and mix.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt; stir until sticky.
  • Roll small amounts of the mixture into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • For a traditional look, press down with a fork.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
