Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour Use the scoop and level method for accurate measurement.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed.
  • 0.5 cups unsweetened cocoa powder Use high-quality for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

For the filling

  • 1 cup Nutella Chill for easier scooping.
  • to taste Sea salt For sprinkling on top.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
  • In another bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, and whisk until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until it forms a dough, being careful not to overmix.

Assembly

  • Scoop about 2 tablespoons of dough and flatten it slightly. Place about a teaspoon of Nutella in the center, fold the edges over to encase it, roll it into a ball, and place on the baking sheet.
  • Repeat with the remaining dough, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart on the baking sheets.
  • Sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each cookie.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm but centers are soft.
  • Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  • Serve warm or at room temperature. Pair with milk or ice cream for an indulgent experience.

Notes
