Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened At room temperature for better creaming.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed for maximum sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Add one at a time and mix well.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Ensure to measure correctly.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For warmth and flavor.

Mix-Ins

  • 3 cups rolled oats Do not pack tightly.
  • 1 cup raisins Dried fruit for sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract.

Combine Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • Fold in rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
