Ingredients
  

  • 1 each ripe banana well-mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
  • Add the egg, milk, melted butter, sugar, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract to the mashed banana. Mix until combined.
  • Gradually stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • If using, fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
