Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
Add the egg, milk, melted butter, sugar, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract to the mashed banana. Mix until combined.
Gradually stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
If using, fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
