Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
Add chopped onion and cook for about 5 minutes until soft and translucent.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute, ensuring it doesn't brown.
Add canned diced tomatoes, dried basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
Season with salt and pepper, then pour in vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
Add pasta to the skillet, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes or until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
Stir in heavy cream and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
Adjust seasoning as needed, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.
