One Pan Taco Pasta

A quick and flavorful one-pan meal combining seasoned ground beef, elbow macaroni, salsa, and melted cheese, ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning package
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded taco blend cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh diced cilantro (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet or pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Drain excess fat, then sprinkle taco seasoning over the beef.
  • Pour in water, salsa, and uncooked elbow macaroni. Stir gently to combine.
  • Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Let simmer for 12-15 minutes until macaroni is tender.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheese until melted. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and cover for a few minutes to melt.
  • Serve in bowls, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water or broth.
