Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Baking pan
  • Piping bag

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter plus more for greasing
  • 3/4 cup sugar like Dixie Crystals
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • store-bought vanilla frosting may need 2 containers
  • green gel food coloring
  • black decorating gel
  • gummy worms optional

Instructions

  • Start by melting the unsalted butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Let it cool slightly.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by lining it with parchment paper and greasing it lightly.
  • Once the butter is cooled, add in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  • Gradually incorporate the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
  • Mix green gel food coloring into the store-bought frosting until you achieve your desired shade.
  • Using a piping bag, pipe the green frosting onto each brownie in a swirling motion.
  • Use black decorating gel to create facial details on each brownie.
  • Optionally, add gummy worms on top for a fun touch!
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
