Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar for crust
  • 1/2 cup butter melted

For the filling

  • 4 packages (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sugar for filling
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan lightly.
  • In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly coated.
  • Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the springform pan to form an even crust.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and gradually add sugar.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla extract, orange zest, and fresh orange juice until combined.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake the cheesecake for about 60 minutes until the center is set with a slight jiggle.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
  • Chill for at least four hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  • Remove the cheesecake from the springform pan before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh orange slices, powdered sugar, or a dollop of whipped cream.
