Preparation

  • Ensure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and butter. Beat them together using an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and well blended.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar to the mixture. Beat on low speed until incorporated, then increase to medium and continue mixing until smooth.
  • Add the fresh orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix on low speed until combined, then increase to medium until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  • Adjust the consistency as needed by adding more orange juice or powdered sugar.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

Notes
