Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan, dusting it with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Pour in the fresh orange juice and add the orange zest, mixing gently until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the loaf cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  • Slice the cake into generous pieces and serve plain or with a light orange glaze.
