  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Add-Ins

  • 3/4 cup Oreo cookies, crushed Aim for a mix of larger chunks and finer crumbs.
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips Experiment with different types of chocolate chips.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in the large egg and add the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Prepare a lined baking sheet. Drop dollops of dough onto the sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
