Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 24 pieces Oreo cookies
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Mousse

  • 2 cups heavy cream Make sure it is slightly cool for better whipping.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or zip-top bag.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with melted unsalted butter and mix well.
  • Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of mini muffin tins, forming crusts.
  • Bake for 5 to 7 minutes to set the cookie crusts.
  • Let the crusts cool completely.

Making the Mousse

  • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream mixture, being careful not to deflate it.

Assembling and Serving

  • Fill each cooled Oreo crust with the chocolate mousse using a piping bag or spoon.
  • Chill the filled mousse cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • When ready to serve, top with whipped cream and crushed Oreos.
