  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Preparation

  • Season the flounder fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter once hot.
  • Allow the butter to melt and bubble, watching for it to turn a golden brown color (about 3–5 minutes). Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Cooking

  • Carefully add the flounder fillets to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until opaque and flaky.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets, then sprinkle with lemon zest and chopped parsley.
  • Remove the fillets from the skillet and plate them.
  • Drizzle the browned butter from the skillet over the flounder and garnish with lemon wedges.
