Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cubed Ensure butter is very cold for flaky texture.
  • 1 cup buttermilk Maintain lumpy consistency.
  • 1 cup peach butter Melted and pourable.
  • 1 cup fresh peaches, diced Use in-season peaches for the best flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in the buttermilk until just blended. The mixture will be a bit lumpy.
  • Gently fold in the diced peaches, being careful not to overmix.

Baking

  • Melt the peach butter in a microwave-safe dish or on the stove until it’s warm and pourable.
  • Pour half of the melted peach butter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spoon the biscuit dough over the melted peach butter, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  • Drizzle the remaining melted peach butter over the top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Best served warm. Can be enjoyed with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh fruit. You can also fill them with cream cheese for a decadent treat.
