Instructions
In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the milk or water to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and stir in the oats. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until creamy.
In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add slivered almonds and toast for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and sliced peaches to the pan with almonds. Stir to coat and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until peaches soften.
Once the oatmeal is creamy and the peach mixture is fragrant, spoon the oatmeal into bowls and top with the peach mixture.
Drizzle with extra brown sugar or a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes
