Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 0.5 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar Plus extra for rolling.
  • 0.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg At room temperature.
  • 2 tablespoons milk At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • 24 pieces chocolate kisses For the center.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  • In a large bowl, beat together softened butter and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add granulated sugar and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
  • Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a dough forms.
  • Scoop and roll dough into approximately 1-inch balls and coat lightly in granulated sugar.
  • Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them adequately.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  • Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each warm cookie.
  • Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for a few moments before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. Cookies can be frozen for later enjoyment. Chill the dough for thicker cookies if desired.
