  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Use high-quality peanut butter for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey Maple syrup for vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice Can adjust for tanginess.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger or ginger paste Fresh ginger preferred.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional) For heat.
  • as needed N/A Water Add for desired consistency.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, maple syrup or honey, lime juice, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, minced garlic, and chili flakes if using.
  • Use a whisk to blend the ingredients together until smooth.
  • If the sauce is too thick, gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Keep whisking until smooth.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust ingredients as needed.
  • Once perfectly balanced, transfer the peanut sauce to a serving bowl or an airtight container for storage.

Notes

Store the peanut sauce in the refrigerator for up to a week. Stir before use; add water if thicker consistency is noticed. For longer storage, freeze in cubes.
