Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillet or fillets, skin on Choose high-quality, fresh salmon for the best flavor.
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • to taste Fresh ground black pepper Adjust according to taste.

Glaze and Crust

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons Italian panko or Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Bring the salmon to room temperature and pat dry to remove excess moisture. Season with kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and honey (or maple syrup) and brush over salmon fillets.
  • In another bowl, combine chopped pecans, Italian panko, and grated Parmesan cheese for the crust.

Baking

  • Sprinkle the pecan mixture over the glazed salmon, pressing down slightly to adhere.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 125-130 degrees Fahrenheit.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let sit for a minute. Plate and serve.

Notes
