Cookie Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, browned Be careful not to burn the butter.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Can use dark, milk, or a blend.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Slowly mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being careful not to over-mix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake your cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and centers are still soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
