Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Components

  • 300 g Pasta (e.g., fusilli or penne)
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 200 g Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • 100 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped) – for garnish
  • Salt and pepper – to taste

Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil water in a large pot, adding a generous amount of salt.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente as per package instructions.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  • Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, and cook until mushrooms are tender (5-7 minutes).
  • Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add cream and season with salt and pepper, adjusting to taste.

Combining Pasta and Sauce

  • Once the sauce has thickened, drain the pasta and add it to the skillet.
  • Toss to coat all pasta pieces in the sauce.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Let the dish sit for a minute to allow flavors to meld.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
