Ingredients
  

  • 1 box dark chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup Oreo cookie crumbs about 10 cookies crushed
  • 1 16 ounce can chocolate frosting
  • 24 pieces gummy worms each cut into 2 pieces
  • 1 3.4 ounce box instant chocolate fudge pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1 8 ounce container Cool Whip thawed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare muffin tins with cupcake liners.
  • Mix the dark chocolate cake mix according to package directions, then fill each liner about two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, then check for doneness with a toothpick.
  • Once baked, cool the cupcakes completely on a wire rack.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate fudge pudding and milk. Refrigerate until set.
  • Fold in 1 cup of thawed Cool Whip into the pudding mixture.
  • Cut a small cone-shaped piece from the center of each cupcake to create space for the filling.
  • Fill each cupcake hole generously with the pudding mixture and replace the tops.
  • Frost the cupcakes with chocolate frosting and roll them in Oreo crumbs.
  • Insert gummy worm halves into the tops before serving.
