Ingredients
  

Dough and Base

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Flour for dusting

Filling

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or other toppings as desired
  • Italian seasoning optional, for flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheet of puff pastry and cut into tree shapes.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the tree shapes on it, ensuring they are spaced apart.

Assembly

  • Spread pizza sauce onto the center of each tree shape while leaving the edges clear.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add pepperoni slices or desired toppings.
  • Create ornaments by cutting smaller pieces of puff pastry and placing them atop the trees, if desired.
  • Whisk the egg in a bowl and brush it over the edges of each tree for a golden finish.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes
