  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast Best cut for tenderness
  • 1 cup beef broth To keep the beef moist
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use your favorite kind
  • 1 medium onion, chopped Enhances the flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adds depth of flavor
  • 4 pieces sandwich rolls For serving
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • optional Coleslaw For topping the sandwiches

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a slow cooker, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, and barbecue sauce. Mix well.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chuck roast into the slow cooker, ensuring it's fully submerged in the sauce.
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
  • Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it back with the sauce.

Assembly

  • Pile the pulled beef high onto the sandwich rolls. Add coleslaw on top if desired.
